Halloween Competition

How easily we forget, of times now long past

All Hallows Eve, another day, it slowly turns dark

Lost sad spirits and souls, now dance in the park

Lonely and foreboding, my feelings filled with dread

Once we offered prayers, now seek sweets instead

When out all alone, be aware of foul ghoul’s breath

Enticed out of our homes, by trick or treat quests

Embraced by so many, yet the dead do not rest

Now you are home, go check under your bed

I realize I am a bit slow responding but I wanted to tell you what a great poem this is. Such a great take on the creatures themselves. I really enjoyed it.
