Before It's Over



While sitting in the morning sun,
As A new day had just begun,
I bowed my head and said a prayer,
Giving thanks for being there.

The quiet sounds of nature,
Fill the air with it's voice,
letting everyone know they're there,
I could only sit and stare.

Little things that go unnoticed,
The green grass growing taller,
Colorful flowers start to holler,
As they continue reaching up.

Dew left on the ground,
From the night before,
Little by little it is no more,
As the warmth can now be found.

Try and enjoy these little things,
And share the smile it may bring,
Before it's over,
Perhaps your heart will begin to sing.
